Independence Senior/Community Center

The Independence Senior Citizen and Community Center

The Senior and Community Center opened in 2002 to serve the residents of Independence and Southern Kenton County. The center is located at 2001 Jack Woods Parkway (located in Memorial Park), next to the Independence Fire Station.

The mission of the Independence Senior Citizen’s Center is to help reduce isolation and loneliness and promote socialization for seniors in the area.  The quality of life for the seniors is greatly improved through educational workshops, health and wellness screenings, recreational activities, and by offering nutritious meals.

Individuals from the age of 50 are welcome to participate in activities, trips, or educational programs offered at the facility. The center also may be rented for private events.
Please call 859-356-6264 if you would like more information or are interested in volunteer opportunities.
