Soccer Camp

The City of Independence and Independence Soccer Club sponsor an annual soccer camp at Sterling Staggs Park.  This camp is for three (3) evenings and is open to children ages 5 to 13.  Camp is held in June or July.  Registration is required and forms will be available in mid-May.  Early registration discount is available.  Each camper will receive a t-shirt.  Awards are given to camper of the day and camper of the week.

The purpose of this camp is to give each participant the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of soccer.  All campers are given an equal amount of time to learn the skills and to participate.  Campers are grouped according to age and ability.  By exposing campers to enthusiastic instruction and good competition we hope to instill a desire to work and strive to become a better soccer player.
