4th of July Parade and Celebration

The 4th of July Celebration is the largest event during the summer in Independence. The festival runs on Friday and Saturday nights. On Friday nights you can expect to enjoy rides, music, food and a general festive atmosphere. On Saturday, the celebration starts with a parade that runs from Summit View Middle School to Memorial Park. The festival is held at Memorial Park and begins with the arrival of the parade. Festivities include food, rides & games for children, and concludes with a spectacular fireworks show.
