Mike attends the Highland Avenue Baptist Tabernacle Church with his wife Loretta of 19 years and their twin daughters Chelsea and Megan that were born on April 17, 2002.

Mr. Little has served on the Citizen's Budget and Finance committee, Vision Committee, Comprehensive Planning Committee, RV Ordinance Committee, Hiring Committee and Small Area Study Committee. Mr. Little has also attended numerous seminars put on by the Kentucky League of Cities and received the Bronze Award in 2006 and the Silver Award in 2007 and is currently working toward the Gold Award.

When Mike was asked why he ran for City Council he responded, "I ran for City Council to try to improve the Quality of life of the citizens. I believe city government should be hands off for the most part. It's not my job to tell people what they can or can't do. City Council should be there to help when there's a problem or issue. We should be there to lookout for and protect citizen's rights. There are several issues that are currently on my mind that affect the city. We need to continue work to keep broadening our retail and industrial tax basis in an effort to relieve the tax burden for the citizens. We need to keep in mind that our city is the 3rd largest land mass city in the state and are currently the 19th largest by population, so we can expect the face of our city to be ever-changing. We can't stop the inevitable, but we can give it direction concerning infrastructure needs and proactive zoning. We have to be looking to the future in a proactive manner rather than a reactive manner. I hope my experience will be productive in helping the city achieve the common goal "To become one of America's most livable Cities, relentless in the pursuit of an outstanding quality of life for our citizens."
