Saturday, July 1 – Independence Celebration • 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fourth Annual Cars and Pipes Car and Motorcycle Show at Kroger Marketplace.Organized by the Independence Business Association, the City of Independence and Kroger. Kick off the day’s events with the hottest hot rods and the baddest bikes with music by Griffon Entertainment and food by the Kroger Grill. Goody bags and dash plaques for the first 50 participants. Prizes awarded for Mayor’s Choice, IBA’s Choice, Kroger Manager’s Choice and People’s Choice. Meet Miss Independence and her court! Show entrants may pre-register at Ace Hardware to save $5. Day of event registration at 9:30 a.m., $20.
